The Father's House

Cory Asbury

Sometimes on this journey
I get lost in my mistakes
What looks to me like weakness
Is a canvas for your strength
And my story isn't over
My story's just begun
And failure won't define me
'Cause that's what my Father does
Yeah, failure won't define me
'Cause that's what my Father does

Ooh, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father's house
Check your shame at the door
'Cause it ain't welcome anymore
Ooh, you're in the Father's house

Arrival's not the end game
The journey's where you are
You never wanted perfect
You just wanted my heart
And the story isn't over
If the story isn't good
And failure's never final
When the Father's in the room
And failure's never final
When the Father's in the room

Ooh, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father's house
Check your shame at the door
'Cause it ain't welcome anymore
Ooh, you're in the Father's house

Yeah, you're in the Father's house
Yeah-yeah

Prodigals come home
The helpless find hope
Love is on the move
When the Father's in the room

Prison doors fling wide
The dead come to life
Love is on the move
When the Father's in the room

Miracles take place
The cynical find faith
And love is breaking through
When the Father's in the room

The Jericho walls are quaking
Strongholds now are shaking
Love is breaking through
When the Father's in the room
I said, love is breaking through
When the Father's in the room

Ooh, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father's house
Check your shame at the door
'Cause it ain't welcome anymore
Ooh, you're in the Father's house

Yeah, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father's house
Check your shame at the door
(Welcome anymore)
Ooh, you're in the Father's house

What A Beautiful Name

Hillsong Worship

You were the Word at the beginning
One With God the Lord Most High
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in You our Christ

What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You didn't want heaven without us
So Jesus, You brought heaven down
My sin was great, Your love was greater
What could separate us now

What a wonderful Name it is
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a wonderful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a wonderful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

How sweet is your name, Lord, how good You are
Love to sing in the name of the Lord, love to sing for you all?
Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You
You silenced the boast, of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, Our God reigns
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever, Our God reigns
Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory
Yours is the Name, above all names

What a powerful Name it is
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is
Nothing can stand against
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus
What a powerful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Rescue

Lauren Daigle

You are not hidden
There's never been a moment
You were forgotten
You are not hopeless
Though you have been broken
Your innocence stolen

I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS

I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you

There is no distance
That cannot be covered
Over and over
You're not defenseless
I'll be your shelter
I'll be your armor

I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS

I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It's true, I will rescue you

I hear the whisper underneath your breath
I hear you whisper, you have nothing left

I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It's true, I will rescue you

Oh, I will rescue you

Today’s Passages

Matthew 5:43-45

“You have heard the law that says, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.  But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!  In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven.  For He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”

Romans 12:2

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Today’s Application

1. Daily saturate yourself with God’s grace; how?

     a.      Fix your eyes upon Jesus and His sacrifice on your behalf.

     b.     Read passages like  John 18-20. And Ephesians Chapter 2.  Let it sink in.  Soak in the passion of Christ.

2.     Leave Judgement to God.

     a.      When you are wronged its ok to pursue justice where justice is needed but you must never let it turn into revenge.

     b.     Don’t base your happiness or satisfaction on whether you get justice or not.  Have Faith that ultimately God will establish true and full justice in His good time.

3.     Release wrongs committed into God’s Hands
