cONFIRMATION TRACK

Confirmation is our ministry for students who want to purposefully be exposed to basic Christianity, grow closer to God, and move forward in their spiritual journey.

THREE18

Three18 is our youth group ministry for 9th through 12th grade students and meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm in the loft with Pastor Cameron Baker.

S.H.I.E.L.D. (5th-8th Grade)

S.H.I.E.L.D. is our ministry for 5th-8th students lead by our Middle School Director, Kelsey Gronseth. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.  While 5th-8th grade meets together, we break the kids up into 5th/6th and 7th/8th for small group table discussions each night.  This ministry's purpose is to take kids deeper into the heart of God's Word to discover an active faith they can claim as their own.  S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Serving Him: Inner Circle of Evangelical and Leadership Development.  This was inspired by (Marvel comics...but mostly) Ephesians 6:11-16, specifically verse 16 "take up the shield of faith against the enemy."  We want to equip our kids wit knowledge of the Word of God, impress upon them the love of God, and make future "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Confirmation Track

Confirmation is our ministry that runs concurrently with S.H.I.E.L.D. and is for students who would say they want to purposefully be exposed to basic Christianity, grow closer to God, and move forward in their spiritual journey.

If enrolled, at the end of their 8th grade year they will have a one on one conversation with Senior Pastor Steve Larson, attend a retreat and receive a certificate of completion and graduation ceremony in May.

**Our graduation date for 2020 is May 17th and will be at both services.  Email Kelsey to add your child to the graduation list!

Three18 (9th-12th Grade)

Our Three18 Youth Group is lead by Youth Pastor Cameron Baker.  We meet on Wednesday in the loft from 6:30-7:30 pm with small groups from 7:30-8:00 pm.  Our youth group is named after 2 Peter 3:18 and our mission is to Know Christ, Grow in Christ, and Glorify Christ.  We start out with hangout and fellowship, live worship, then a teaching time of a the big questions students ask, then break into smaller groups to discuss that topic.  We go over things like, "Why did God let that happen", "Does God still love me if I did _____?", "Why is there cancer?", "Does God hear me when I pray?" and much more.  The students are encouraged to email Pastor Cameron with any questions they have so they can go over them together!  This is a safe place for high school students to come and grow in who God has called them to be.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Cameron at 507-634-1463 or email cameron@ccc-kasson.org.

Sunday School for Junior High

Our Sunday mornings for 5th-8th grade students are a time for fun, fellowship, discussions, and deeper understanding of the Bible and who Jesus is.

We meet in the loft of our church (come in the east entrance and come up the stairs).  We follow a curriculum that goes through 70 questions and answers throughout the year that explore core scriptural truths. Each lesson focuses on one Q&A and supports it with a Bible verse, discussion question, and application question. This format offers plenty of opportunities to kick-start discussions in a small group setting.  We also encourage serving and will help youth find their place within the body of Christ when they are ready.

We meet during both the 9:00 and 10:30 services. We do NOT offer Sunday School during Holiday weekends, but rather encourage family church time as well as time off for our volunteers.

If you have any questions, please contact Kelsey (kelsey@ccc-kasson.org).  No registration needed.

B.L.O.G. - Becoming Ladies of God

Our mission is to minister to young ladies on how to become ladies after God's heart in today's culture.  We meet in the home of our group leader to try and encourage ALL young ladies to come, feel welcomed, safe, and encouraged.  If you are a young lady in 7th or 8th grade, come join us!

We discuss topics such as dating, friends, family issues, as well as sensitive issues such as suicide, gender identity and bullying.  These are not the only things we go over.  We encourage the girls to ask whatever is going on in their lives, ask any questions they have so we can go through it together and see what God says.

We start off with a meal, then go into our lesson and end with prayer.  There is never a charge, but if you ever what to bring something, we won't say no (dessert bars, water, etc.)!  :)

Our 7th-8th grade girls meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Gathering Grounds.
