Minnesota Youth Convention (MYC)

Join Community Celebration Church at Minnesota Youth Convention October 17-18, 2019 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, MN.

We are extremely excited about the ministry team that is joining us for MYC19! River Valley Worship will return to lead us in worship. The Thursday and Friday evening sessions will feature the ministry of Chris Estrada. Pastor Chris Estrada is the Executive Director of Missions Me College in Southern California. Pastor Chris will bring a powerful message of salvation Thursday evening, and will encourage students to live out their faith in a Legendary way on Friday evening. On Friday afternoon, Micah MacDonald, youth evangelist out of Minnesota, will challenge students and leaders in one of the areas he is most passionate: Giving to missions. Micah’s life is a great testimony to the impact that living in submission to God’s will and giving sacrificially can have on your world and the world around you. We are offering free registration to the friends of our students. I would invite you to challenge your students to begin to pray about who they will invite to join them at MYC19.

The theme for MYC19 is LEGENDARY. Our students will be challenged after this weekend to live a life that is remembered by everyone they come in contact with. Living a LEGENDARY life only happens when young people are not afraid to live out their faith in our world today and, we want our students to confidently step into what the Holy Spirit prompts them to do.

cONFIRMATION TRACK

THREE18

Three18 is our youth group ministry for 9th through 12th grade students and meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm in the loft with Pastor Cameron Baker.

S.H.I.E.L.D. (5th-8th Grade)

S.H.I.E.L.D. is our ministry for 5th-8th students lead by our Middle School Director, Kelsey Gronseth. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.  While 5th-8th grade meets together, we break the kids up into 5th/6th and 7th/8th for small group table discussions each night.  This ministry's purpose is to take kids deeper into the heart of God's Word to discover an active faith they can claim as their own.  S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Serving Him: Inner Circle of Evangelical and Leadership Development.  This was inspired by (Marvel comics...but mostly) Ephesians 6:11-16, specifically verse 16 "take up the shield of faith against they enemy."  We want to equip our kids wit knowledge of the Word of God, impress upon them the love of God, and make future "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Check out our FAQ sheet (also known as Q and A sheet) for more answer to commonly asked questions about this program!

Sunday School for Junior High

Our Sunday mornings for 5th-8th grade students are a time for fun, fellowship, discussions, and deeper understanding of the Bible and who Jesus is.

We meet in the loft of our church (come in the east entrance and come up the stairs).  We follow a curriculum that goes through 70 questions and answers throughout the year that explore core scriptural truths. Each lesson focuses on one Q&A and supports it with a Bible verse, discussion question, and application question. This format offers plenty of opportunities to kick-start discussions in a small group setting.  We also encourage serving and will help youth find their place within the body of Christ when they are ready.

We meet during both the 9:00 and 10:30 services. We do NOT offer Sunday School during Holiday weekends, but rather encourage family church time as well as time off for our volunteers.

If you have any questions, please contact Kelsey (kelsey@ccc-kasson.org).  No registration needed.

B.L.O.G. - Becoming Ladies of God

Our mission is to minister to young ladies on how to become ladies after God's heart in today's culture.  We meet in the homes of our leaders to try and encourage ALL young ladies to come, feel welcomed, safe, and encouraged.  If you are a young lady in 7th or 8th grade, come be a part of B.L.O.G. Jr.  If you are a young lady in 9th-12th grade, come be a part of B.L.O.G. Sr.  Or if you have a friend in a different grade, feel free to go to that get together regardless of your grade.

We discuss topics such as dating, friends, family issues, as well as sensitive issues such as suicide, gender identity and bullying.  These are not the only things we go over.  We encourage the girls to ask whatever is going on in their lives, ask any questions they have so we can go through it together and see what God says.

We start off with a meal, then go into our lesson and end with prayer.  There is never a charge, but if you ever what to bring something, we won't say no (dessert bars, water, etc.)!  :)

Our 9th-12th grade girls meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday - B.L.O.G. Sr.

Our 7th-8th grade girls meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday - B.L.O.G. Jr.

BOTH MEET 5:00-7:00 PM
